Dr. Masao Maeshiro will speak on the 43 years of collaboration between the University of Hawai‘i and the Postgraduate Medical Education Program in Okinawa which began with the East-West Center, then the UH School of Public Health, and finally, the John A. Burns School of Medicine. He will review the purpose, history, goals, objectives, and achievements of the program from 1945 to the present.
