NHSS Office Closure Fall 2021Daily Virtual Office Hours

Welcome to Fall 2021. We extend aloha to you and your ‘Ohana as we settle into this new academic year.
NHSS remains committed to supporting the academic success and well-being of our haumāna. Although our physical offices will remain closed until further notice, we will continue hosting Daily Virtual Student Support hours. Here you can meet with NHSS staff to learn about program opportunities, share concerns, and seek guidance for other support resources. Furthermore, our NHSS faculty and staff are available via email and Zoom to help navigate your academic journey. Please contact us by email either directly or by referencing our NHSS Staff Directory or at nhss@hawaii.edu.
We would also like to remind you of important campus resources available for those impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic:
  • Fall 2021 UH Manoa CARES Program: This week, a new round of financial assistance has been made available for students in need of financial assistance due to the impacts of the pandemic. Awards are up to $2,000 for the Fall 2021 semester. The application deadline is September 14th, with awards set to disburse in October.
We look forward to reopening our two resource centers in the near future, to help us get there sooner please kōkua our campus community as recommended by the campus COVID-19 Resource Team:
  • Report all positive and suspected cases of COVID-19 on the UH Mānoa campus to the University Health Services Manoa COVID-19 Resource Team at uhsm.covid@hawaii.edu or (808) 956-8965. The information will be kept confidential. Information on reported positive cases on UH campuses can be found at http://go.hawaii.edu/xy3.
  • Please remember to follow campus COVID-19 guidelines including staying home when you are sick and using the daily health check-in app LumiSight UH before coming to campus.
  • When on campus, wear a face mask indoors, practice safe physical distancing and wash your hands often. The university is also encouraging everyone to get vaccinated for COVID-19 as it is the best way to prevent the spread of the virus.
