To continue its support of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa College of Engineering, SSFM International has made an $110,000 gift to the college to support its structural engineering program.

“We are very excited to fund essential upgrades to the UHM College of Engineering CEE Structures Lab,” said Michael Matsumoto. He continued, “SSFM started as a structures firm and our roots with UH run deep. We know that hundreds of students will benefit from new equipment which will prepare them for successful structural engineering careers in our state and around the world.”

Dean Brennon Morioka added, “Many of our students will go on to work in Hawai‘i’s engineering and construction firms. It is very gratifying to partner with firms like SSFM to improve the quality of our education lab equipment. We are most grateful to Mike and his team. ”
