Japanese Women's Society Announces Annual Scholarship

The Japanese Women's Society of Honolulu (JWS) will award two academic scholarships to enrolled graduate students in the fields of health care, social work, or the arts and sciences who are focused on gerontology/geriatrics.

In accordance with their mission to be "an acknowledged leader and trendsetter in the area of health and issues pertaining to aging," the JWS awards two scholarships, one for $2,500 and one for $1,500, each year. All scholarship application materials must be postmarked by March 31, 2004.

The Japanese Women's Society of Honolulu (JWS) was founded in 1954 as an educational and service organization. Its mission is to promote culture and provide education and quality services to the community by responding to the changing needs of society.
