As a part of "Get Job Ready: Celebrating CTE Month at Leeward," a full slate of Information Sessions and an Open House are offered to provide an in-depth look at career programs available at Leeward Community College.

Organized by program coordinators, the Information Sessions are open to the general public. Attendees will be able to learn more about the degree and certificate options and meet the instructors and students enrolled in the program. Degree requirements, support services available for Leeward CC students, and financial aid options will be covered.

Leeward Community College’s CTE programs prepare you for entry-level jobs and for select programs, transfer options to 4-year institutions.

Television Production
Tuesday, February 17 and February 24 at 5:30pm – 7:00pm, BE 103

Business Programs: Accounting, Management & Business Technology
Wednesday, February 18 at 6:00pm – 7:00pm, BE 229A
Programs offering practical skills for today’s competitive work environment; several options for a first time career, job promotion or career change.

Plant Biology & Tropical Agriculture
Wednesday, February 18 at 6:00pm – 7:00pm, MS 108
Offering the training to succeed in Hawaii's diversified agriculture and biotechnology workforce. It’s also a perfect start to a four-year degree in bioscience, or developing your own agribusiness

Digital Media
Thursday, February 19 at 5:30pm – 7:00pm, BS 104
From web design to video production, the DMED program combines a solid foundation of art and design with the practical technical skills needed to explore and express ideas in today’s multimedia world.

Health Information Technology
Tuesday, February 24 at 7:00pm – 8:00pm, BE 229A
One of the fastest growing industries; the field is projected to grow nearly twice as fast as the average for all occupations in future years.

Substance Abuse Counseling
Wednesday, February 25 at 12:00pm – 1:00pm, FA 201
Opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills required by the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium, (ICRC) which governs Hawai‘i state certification of substance abuse counselors
