HONOLULU – “Hoʻokipa” means to be hospitable, or to entertain. And for Kapiʻolani Community College, its “Hoʻokipa Night 2015” promises to be extraordinary and delightful to all senses.

The evening will showcase the award-winning Culinary Arts and the Hospitality and Tourism Programs. Gourmet selections will be presented by Guest Celebrity Chef Rafael Lunetta of JiRaffe Restaurant in Santa Monica, CA, and Guest Alumnus Yuhi Fujinaga, Executive Chef of Sea Grille at the Rockefeller Center in New York. Trained under some of the world’s culinary masters and in the best kitchens, these Guest Chefs will deliver a memorable dining experience.

“Hoʻokipa Night 2015” will honor Pamela Young and Gary Sprinkle for their generous and tireless support to Kapiʻolani’s featured programs. The date is Thursday, March 12, 2015 and the event will be held in the Kalākaua Ballroom at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center. There will be a 5:30 p.m. cocktail reception with gourmet action food stations, followed by a 6:30 p.m. multi-course dinner with wine pairings. And, the ever-popular live and silent auctions with fantastic items and services will again be offered. Evening aloha, or business attire is best.

This signature event raises necessary funds to support the students and educational efforts in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality and Tourism Programs at Kapiʻolani Community College.

Guests may sponsor tables ($3,000, $5,000 and $10,000) or purchase individual seats ($250) by calling 734-9544, or registering at http://www.uhfoundation.org/Hookipa2015. For more information on the event, please call Kawehi Sellers at 258-9344, or email hookipa@hawaii.edu.
