2012 Homecoming Fair will feature food, entertainment, prizes and fun

Show your support of UH Manoa at the 2012 Homecoming Fair on the Clarence T.C. Ching Field.

Entertainment will be provided by Kapena, the pep band and Rainbow dancers. There will also be inflatables and games/activities. Free Homecoming T-shirts will be given to full-time Manoa undergraduate students on a first-come, first-served basis with validated UH Manoa student IDs.

There will be free prizes and giveaways from various courtesy booths representing registered independent organizations, ASUH, Campus Center Board, UH Alumni Association, UH Athletics/UH Letterwinners Club and the Manoa Bookstore. Plus, there will be special prizes for students.

Ono food with great prices include $1 and $2 menu items, featuring gourmet hot dogs, Korean BBQ kim chee burger, Ewa corn chowder in sourdough bread bowl, kalua pork and vegetarian nachos, Rainbow warrior cookie, smoothies, sherbet and canned drinks.

Coach Norm Chow and the Warrior football team will also be making a special guest appearance. 


WHAT:          Homecoming Fair 2012

WHEN:          Friday, October 12

TIME:            3:30-6:30 p.m.

WHERE:       Clarence T.C. Ching Field

PARKING:   Before 4 p.m., parking in the Parking Structure (Zone 20) is $5. Beginning at 4 p.m., parking is available anywhere on upper campus, the music building lot or the Parking Structure (Zone 20) for $6.

Admission is free and open to the public.  

This event is a drug- and alcohol-free event sponsored by ASUH, Campus Center Board, Manoa Chancellor's Office, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Students, Graduate Student Organization, Student Activity and Program Fee Board, Student Athletic Fee Committee, Honolulu Star-Advertiser, University of Hawai‘i Federal Credit Union, American Savings Bank and UH Alumni Association.

Following the event, head to the Stan Sheriff Center for UH Rainbow Wahine Volleyball match vs. Cal State Northridge at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to stay for the 2012 “UH ‘Ohana Hoopfest” following the match. The event will include the introduction of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, a slam dunk contest, celebrity games and an autograph session.
