With the end of the academic year, the annual move-out of residence halls by UH Mānoa students brings with it a traffic advisory for those driving on Dole Street during certain non-peak hours. The far right, east-bound lane directly in front of Johnson Halls on Dole Street will be closed to create a temporary loading zone on:

  • Wednesday, May 9, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 10, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 11, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Additionally, Frear Hall residential students will be checking out between May 9-11, as well as on Saturday, May 12, between 8:00 a.m. and noon. The temporary loading zone created for the Frear Hall move-out is not on Dole Street, however, and the University expects little impact on travel on the main thoroughfare of Dole.

Those attending the UH Mānoa Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Saturday morning at the Stan Sheriff Center are nevertheless advised to avoid parking in the Frear Hall area.
