Honolulu, Hawai‘i–The Pacific Center for Advanced Technology Training (PCATT) will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary on Friday, October 22nd honoring 10 influential PCATT alumni, and recognizing PCATT’s accomplishments over the past 10 years.
In addition, guests will have a unique opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art PCATT facilities and learn about the plethora of training offerings utilizing the latest in advanced technology. Mini show and tell presentations by industry experts will include the following interactive topics: virtual welding, solar photovoltaic mock-up, digital animation, mobile application development, AutoCAD 3D rapid prototyping, fiber optics and VMware server virtualization. 
“PCATT was established to advance technology training for students and employers throughout Hawai‘i and the Pacific Rim. Since our inception in 2000, PCATT has developed a reputation as Hawai‘i’s premier workforce development training solution in advanced technology,” explains Scott Murakami, director of PCATT. “We are proud to celebrate our accomplishments and look forward to continuing our support of Hawai‘i’s businesses through innovative technology training to ensure a sustainable economic future for our island community.”
The Pacific Center for Advanced Technology is a not-for-profit consortium of the University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges. With their headquarters at Honolulu Community College, PCATT satellite training facilities can be found at all the community college campuses. PCATT, over the years, has acquired an impressive educational partnership list with technology powerhouses that include: Oracle, Microsoft, Red Hat, Cisco and VMware, to name a few.

The primary goal of PCATT is to bridge education and industry through quality workforce training.
