A study conducted by the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resource Management at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo will be presented in London, England.

Dr. Sabry Shehata’s paper, “Hawaiian Producers Attitude toward GMO,” has been accepted by the 2010 Society for Risk Analysis Conference at King’s College. The paper is based on a survey of Hawaiʻi agricultural producers regarding their opinion of genetically modified Hawaiian agricultural products.

“The survey clearly shows a positive correlation between a producers’ education level and the way they answered the question,” Shehata said.
