Leeward Community College teams up with the Hawaii Macintosh and Apple Users Society (HMAUS) for GEEK DAY at Leeward and the annual HMAUS Mactoberfest on Saturday, October 24, 2009.

The day offers free hands-on workshops, demonstrations and presentations on a variety of computer and technology topics, from photo editing and animation to home wireless network security. The Professional Photographers of Hawaii camera flea market, door prizes and a special lunchtime presentation by local filmmaker Tom Boyle complete the day.

All activities are free and open to the public. Workshops include both Mac and Windows platforms.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for registration, with the first workshops and presentations beginning at 10 am. Lunch can be pre-ordered online at or purchased from Hot Dog Hawaii on site.
