"To commemorate our 60th anniversary, Architects Hawaii wanted to invest in the future of Hawaiʻi by establishing this endowment at the University of Hawaʻi to promote excellence in education of new architects and excellence in architecture and design," said David Miller, president and chief executive officer of Architects Hawaii.
"This generous contribution allows the school to position itself as a worldwide agent of change within the field of architecture," said Clark Llewellyn, dean of the School of Architecture. "Our partnership with Architects Hawaii gives us the tools necessary to provide leadership in professional education in a global environment."
