Lyon Arboretum offers guided garden tours

HONOLULU — The Lyon Arboretum is now offering one-hour guided tours Monday through Saturday at 10 a.m. Visitors will experience the lush tropical rainforest, see Native Hawaiian plants, Hawaiian cultural plants, and a diverse collection of tropical plants from all over the world.

The Arboretum‘s trained guides will share information about Hawaiʻi‘s natural history, rich cultural heritage, and the Arboretum‘s essential work in rare plant conservation.

The tour costs $5.00 per person. Please call 988-0461 to make reservations.

The Lyon Arboretum is open Monday — Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Arboretum is closed on state and federal holidays. Admission to the gardens is free.

Lyon Arboretum is a 193.5 acre rainforest botanical garden administered by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
