UH Manoa Nursing School Dean Moving to Medical School
Rosanne Harrigan will help create alternative medicine department
University of HawaiʻiNursing school dean Rosanne Harrigan - who earlier announced that she would step down from her position this year - will join the faculty of the John A. Burns School of Medicine following the spring semester. Dean Harrigan will be involved in the creation of a new department of complementary and alternative medicine.
"I am pleased to continue my association with the University of Hawaiʻi and provide leadership in cutting edge areas of scholarship that are especially important to women‘s health and the people of Hawaiʻi," Harrigan said.
Harrigan will maintain an appointment with the School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene, and continue the development of clinical research programs and clinical researchers. Her new position at the medical school is effective June 1, 2002.
