Candidates for Manoa Vice Chancellor for Administration, Finance and Operations schedule meetings with campus groups

Three candidates for the permanent appointment to be UH Manoa Vice Chancellor for Administration, Finance and Operations will be meeting with campus groups over the next few weeks.

"The Vice Chancellor‘s office oversees areas critical to the operation of our campus," said Manoa Chancellor Denise Konan, "including health, safety and security, the budget and fiscal offices, facilities management, and our auxiliary services. Each of the candidates identified by the search committee possesses skills essential to our campus renewal efforts as we plan and develop the Manoa campus of the future. I urge the campus community to meet them and hear their ideas about ways to keep us moving forward."

The candidates are:

Kathy Cutshaw, currently serving in the position as Interim Vice Chancellor. Cutshaw earned a degree in management science at the University of California, San Diego. She has been at UH Manoa since 1997, and previously served as Director of Administrative Services in the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST). She was also in administrative positions at UCSD and at Hughes Aircraft Corporation in California.

Nancy Heiligman, Associate Vice President for Finance and Administration, Oregon State University. Heiligman holds a bachelor‘s degree in business administration and an MBA in general business management from the University of Oregon. She previously served in budget and finance positions in the Oregon University system and in the Oregon public school system.

Glenn Okimoto, Harbors Administrator, State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation. Okimoto earned bachelor‘s, master‘s, and doctoral degrees in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa. He was previously State Comptroller in the Department of Accounting and General Services, and was for a time a research assistant in the UHM College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources and a lecturer at Kapiʻolani Community College.

Kathy Cutshaw — Thursday, November 9, 1:45-2:30 p.m., Campus Center 308

Nancy Heiligman — Friday, November 17, 1:45-2:30 p.m., Campus Center 309
