Seminars:
CMB Research Seminars - held on Wednesday afternoon through the school year at JABSOM. They include several CMB-Neuroscience seminars
Neuroscience Research Seminars - meets twice monthly at Queens. These are sponsored by the Neuroscience & MRI Research Program (NMRP) located at Queens, jointly sponsored by JABSOM and QMC.
Qualifying Exams:
Qualifying exams will follow that required of the primary program in which the student is matriculating. For CMB, see www.hawaii.edu/cmb/CMB/Program_Information.html
Faculty membership on the Qualifying Exam committee shall include one member who is on the Neuroscience Graduate Faculty
Comprehensive Exam:
The Comprehensive Exam will use a format equivalent to a NIH proposal by which each student will specify their research proposal to be carried out in the mentor's laboratory. Typically, this examination will be given in the third year of the graduate program, following required courses in Ethical Conduct of Research. and Grant Writing.
