The resources in this section are offered to help students as they perform in writing intensive classes and in their writing more generally. We provide links to three important campus resources--the Writing Center, the Learning Assistance Center, and KOKUA. Links to resources online from the left menu are of two kinds: external links take you to tried-and-true sites nationally; internal links load pages developed over the years by the Mānoa Writing Program based on local experience.
This page is also used to announce timely resources for faculty in the right sidebar.
Reading Across the Disciplines Summer Institute
Over half of UHCC students read at a level significantly below the level of college texts. Reading Across the Disciplines is an innovative educational initiative designed to help faculty best reach the students in those classrooms-- your classrooms! Through a 2-day hands-on workshop (Aug. 7-8) from 9-3, we will provide you with the tools to ensure students are reading and better comprehending the texts in your course. We think we've designed the RAD program to make work easier for you, not harder.
