UH Contemporary Music Ensemble – “Folk Songs”

Folk Songs The UH Contemporary Music Ensemble, Thomas Osborne, director, presents a program of works inspired by folk songs and traditional instruments. Iranian-born composer Reza Vali is featured with two works on the program, both based on Persian folk songs, and guest artist Maya Hoover (mezzo-soprano) will join the ensemble on Luciano Berio's Folk Songs, a colorful collection of folk song settings around the world.
