Academic Details

Seoul National University offers a wide variety of English courses. Academic areas here include Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Agriculture & Life Sciences, Fine Arts, Law, Education, Human Ecology, Music, and Liberal Studies. Along with their English courses available, students can participate in The Korean Language & Culture Program (KLCP) at a reduced rate specifically for exchange students. There are a wide range of Korean language programs for students of all levels and course rigor. Placement tests are required if you would like to place above level 1.

*Note for Business Students: This is an AACSB accredited university.

Housing Details

Seoul National University’s Gwanak-sa Dormitory is available to exchange students, but housing is not guaranteed. There are three different dormitory types for students, but if you get into the dorms, you are guaranteed a bed, desk, chair, and closet. If you would like to live off campus, there are other options available to you. Hasook is a popular option among exchange students who want to learn more about Korean culture at an affordable rate. Shared houses are another common way students live off campus.

Eligibility:

  • Sophomore standing
  • Completed at least one semester at UHM by time of application
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
