ALL visitors are required to sign in at the Visitor Center. The gardens are open Monday through Friday, 9 am – 4 pm, and Saturday, 9 am – 3 pm.

We invite you to explore and discover the Arboretum’s trails and gardens. Sign in at the Arboretum’s Visitor Center. Maps, information and trail guides are available in the Visitor Center.
A self-guided audio tour, featuring the plants and special features of the Arboretum, Native Hawaiian Garden and the Ethnobotanical Garden is available by using your cell phone or tablet device. You may also listen to audio while at the gardens using QR code reader.
Daily Guided Tours
One-hour guided tours led by Arboretum Docents are available Monday through Saturday, at 10:00 am. Cost is $10.00 per person. Space is limited, please call (808) 988-0461 at least 24 hours ahead of time to reserve a space. Walk-ins may be accommodated if space is available.
Guided Group tours are available with advance reservations. Call the Lyon Education Office at (808) 988-0461 to arrange a tour for your group. Cost is $10 per person, minimum group size is 8.
Lyon Arboretum provides educational field trip programs for school groups. Several grade-level specific tours for school-aged children, designed to meet the HCPPS requirements for the State of Hawai’i are offered. For more information visit our School Tours page.
