Spanish & Latin American Studies
The Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American Studies program offers Spanish language instruction at the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels, including courses in composition, conversation, linguistics, pedagogy, translation, film, literature and culture.
The program also offers upper-division Latin American & Iberian Studies courses, in English, that are transdisciplinary in nature and that complement the Spanish curriculum.
Students may earn a Minor in Spanish or in Latin American & Iberian Studies (LAIS), a B.A. (LLEA BA: Spanish & Latin American Studies) or an MA in Spanish (Master’s Program).
