Russian Club at UH Manoa


In the final month of Spring 2014 semester we offer new and exciting opportunities to share love for the Russian language and culture:

Wednesday Wiswell Russian Tea parties @3:30:

April 2 - Alexandra Weber, a graduate of the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Columbia University speaks about her work as a translator of Russian literature at 252 Moore;

April 16 - Irina Razuvan, a fashion designer from Vladivostok, displays her work for young women at 252 Moore;

April 30 - our own UH Manoa Architecture graduate student Keahi (aka Klim) Arena invites club members to his on-campus studio at 2600 University Road to show his project on Russian low cost housing.

- Russian Conversation Table on Thursday, April 105:30 pm meets at Manoa Market Place (Coffee Bean/Tea Leaf cafe).

- Russian Booth at cultural fair organized by The Lovers of South Asian Cultures Saturday, April 26from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. at UH Mānoa Hemenway Hall Courtyard.

Our cultural booth at the recent International Night at UH was so successful that Russian Club was invited to present Russia as integral part of Asia-Pacific Region. Those who did not have a chance to have their pictures taken in Russian colorful ethnic costumes in March will be able to do it on April 26! Free food provided!

- Russian End of the Year Reception on Friday, May 24:00 pm at 119 Moore.
