This fall, the German Film Series will screen the following films
in conjunction with LLEA 338 / History of German Cinema (offered in English).

Films screen on Wednesdays at 1:30 pm in Moore Hall 258.

Wed. Sept. 18 – Metropolis – Dir. Fritz Lang, 1927 – 123 mins.

Metropolis (1927), directed by Fritz Lang, tells the tale of deep class divides in the growing futuristic city. Stylistically, it influenced Ridley Scottʻs later Bladerunner (1982).

Wed. Sept. 25 – Triumph of the Will – Dir. Leni Riefenstahl, 1935 – 110 mins.

Films screened in German with English sub-titles.
