This fall, the German Film Series will screen the following films
in conjunction with LLEA 338 / History of German Cinema (offered in English).

Films screen on Wednesdays at 1:30 pm in Moore Hall 258.

Wed. Sept. 11 – Berlin, Symphony of a City – Dir. Walter Ruttmann, 1927 – 65 mins.

This early montage film of a day in the life of the growing metropolis was influenced by Sheeler and Strandʻs Manhatta (1921) and subsequently influenced Dziga Vertovʻs Man with a Movie Camera (1929).
