It’s election season!  Not only in Germany, where elections take place on Sept. 22, 2013,
but also here at UHM, where the German Club will be holding elections from Mon. 9/9-Fri. 9/13/13 for new officers (responsibilities on flyer circulated in classes):

·      Treasurer
·      Secretary
Why run for office?

·      Develops leadership skills

·      Allows students to network across campus
·      Provides public service
·      Develops social responsibility
·      Builds management skills
·      Allows students to organize social and cultural eventsHow do I run for an office?

1. Students who are interested in running for an office should self-nominate.
(Do not nominate someone else.)
2. Indicate what office you want to run for. (ONLY ONE!)
3. Deadline for self-nominations: Fri. Sept. 6, 2012 at 5:00 pm
4. To nominate yourself, simply hit reply and send a brief email to
Prof. Christina Gerhardt (cg2020@hawaii.edu).

Provide your full first and last name; your major(s) and minor/certificate;
what year you are (freshperson, sophomore, etc.); and for which office you are running.

Also include 1-2 sentences, indicating why you want to run for the office.

Ideally, students should be German majors or pursuing a German certificate.
Elections will take place Mon. Sept. 9, 9:00 am – Fri. Sept. 13, 5:00 pm.
