When do tickets go on sale?

Mainstage and Prime Time Shows:
Annually in early-mid August at all outlets and remain on sale through the last show of the season.

Late Night Series Shows:
One hour before curtain, in-person at the Kennedy Theatre Box Office only.

Where can I purchase tickets?

Patrons pay the same ticket price regardless of outlet. Choose the outlet that is most convenient for you.

In-person ticket sales at the Kennedy Theatre Box Office window for Mainstage and Prime Time shows will be available only during show performance weeks from 11am-2pm & for one hour prior to each performance.

Online ticket sales for Mainstage and Prime Time performances will be available 24/7 at etickethawaii.com (opens in new tab).

For Mainstage and Primetime shows only. Online/outlet ticket sales typically end two (2) hours prior to showtime and RESUME only at Kennedy Theatre Box Office Window for one hour prior to each performance. All Late Night Theatre productions are sold in-person at the Kennedy Theatre Box Office one hour prior to showtime.

What discounts does Kennedy Theatre offer?

UH Mānoa Students: Specially-priced tickets are available through funding from the Student Activity and Program Free Board. Validated UH Mānoa photo IDs are required.

Students (Preschool–College): ID is required.

Children/Youth (Ages 2–12): Valid for family theatre events only. Babes in arms – under the age of 2 and that will not be in a separate seat – do not require a ticket to family theatre events.

Seniors (Ages 62+)

Military: ID required. Two (2) discount tickets per ID.

UH Mānoa Faculty/Staff: ID required. Two (2) discount tickets per ID.

ID should also be present at time of admittance to theatre for any discounted price ticket.

Are there discounts for UH Mānoa students?

Mānoa Student Discounts

Students with validated UHM Student ID may purchase a ticket to any regular Kennedy Theatre Mainstage or Prime Time Series event for just $8; Late Night Shows are only $5! Kennedy Theatre gives a big “mahalo” to the Student Activity and Program Fee Board for their generous support that makes these prices possible.

UHM valid ID should also be present at time of admittance to theatre.

Throwback Saturdays!

UHM students are eligible to receive an even bigger discount at our special  “Throwback Saturday” performances (Saturday of show opening weekend for most Mainstage productions only). $5.00 tickets are available for UHM students with current validated IDs. Subject to availability.

Are group discounts available?

Group Discounts

Yes! Groups of 10 or more may receive an additional discount to Department of Theatre and Dance Mainstage productions. (Special productions may not be eligible for group discounts.) Call the Box Office to make arrangements at (808) 956-7655.

Are season tickets available for purchase?

Season tickets are not currently offered.

Can tickets be exchanged?

Ticket Exchange Information

All ticket sales are final. That being said, box office staff will try to help if an exchange becomes necessary. Requests for ticket exchange must be to another performance of the same production with at least 24 hours notice and will also depend upon availability. Exchange fees may apply; no refunds for differences in ticket costs. Call the Box Office for more information. Tickets are not refundable.
