Our mainstage venue, Kennedy Theatre, is a beautiful 600-seat facility. It was built to accommodate diverse staging techniques. The building’s beautiful design, along with adjacent Jefferson Hall (East-West Center) are credited to the internationally known architect I.M. Pei.
In addition to Kennedy Theatre, the complex also includes a 150-seat “black-box” Earle Ernst Lab Theatre. The lab theatre is home to our prime time and late night venues.
A new dance studio opened in Spring 2013, bringing the Dance Program on to upper campus near Kennedy Theatre. A beautiful airy dance studio, offices, classroom, and restroom and shower facilities are included in the new facility.
The Lunalilo Freeway Building was a rehearsal studio and classroom/seminar space that is soon to be demolished. Displaced authorized users can ask for a reservation in the temporary solution spaces in lower athletics building and the Music complex by clicking here.
The Music Building has two dance studios that are used for Pacific, Asian, and modern dance classes.
