The UH Bilinski Fellowship in Linguistics supports the top doctoral students in the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Department of Linguistics who have exhibited the potential to contribute substantially to the advancement of our understanding of human language. The fellowship supports students working in the areas of language documentation and conservation, or of experimental linguistics, including those whose research intersects these two areas.
Bilinski Dissertation Fellowship
The Bilinski Dissertation Fellowship provides recent all-but-dissertation (ABD) students in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa a $25,000 award (tuition and fees will be taken from award amount) per semester for up to three semesters. Bilinski Pre-Dissertation Research Award
This award is primarily intended for those doing data collection or fieldwork. To apply, please read the application guidelines, and submit an application form.
