Library Instruction

Please use this form to request library instruction for your courses.

Non-affiliated groups should view the Policy on Visits by Non-UH Groups.

  • Please be ready to send us a copy of your syllabus.
  • Please give us at least one week’s notice for scheduling and preparation.
  • Classroom availability is on a first-come first-served basis.

Basic Resources Workshop

Introduces students to basic library resources, enabling them to find books and journal articles for their research papers.

Evaluating Sources Workshop

Introduces students to ways to discuss why different types of sources are credible or questionable for use in academic writing.

Hawai‘i (Local) Research Workshop

Introduces students to the Hawaiian Collection and covers basic research strategies for locating and accessing books, journals, and other library resources specific to the student’s Hawai‘i-based research assignments found in the collection’s closed stacks.
