About Our Faculty

Covering a wide spectrum of the Pacific and Asia, across nearly every area of law, our faculty’s scholarship and interests in the field are especially diffuse.

Nearly all Richardson Faculty are actively engaged in scholarly research projects and have expertise and interests that touch on Pacific and/or Asian issues.

About Our Faculty Specialists

Many of our Richardson faculty, all of whom have lived and worked in the region and most of whom are proficient in a Pacific and/or Asian language, are also specialized and actively engaged in scholarly research projects and have expertise and interests, focused on China (& Taiwan), Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia.

Our Faculty’s Scholarship

As a dynamic group, our faculty is devoted to scholarship, scholarly exchanges and training in Pacific and Asian law. Evocative of our stature to this end, our Faculty’s prolific scholarship, comprised in their research, is among the most respected, widely-read and cited scholarly legal work dealing with issues of Pacific and Asian concern.

To actively steer the Program, PALS faculty are directly engaged in fostering our scholarly endeavors, our institutes, and our programs; by serving on the PALS Committee. PALS faculty eagerly support students, by engaging them in their work and by providing support, through advising and whatever other means possible.
