UH - Mānoa Landscaping Ongoing Projects
Here at the landscaping department we are constantly working to beautify the campus through new plantings, renovation of older landscape, and diligent maintenance of existing irrigation, plants, and lawns. Here you can find a list of projects that are currently underway throughout campus. Some of them are long term and some will be complete in a matter of days, so check back often to keep informed on work that way be taking place in areas where you work and play.
The landscaping department has embarked on a project that is unprecedented in the botanical and grounds maintenance industry. We are currently mapping all plant matter on the UH Mānoa campus using a wide array of computer software including ArcGIS and Google Earth, as well as state-of-the-art surveying equipment. This information will be integrated into the campus community as well as our department and will serve as a tool with many different applications; from staffing and scheduling within BGM, to campus tours and student recreation, our campus as a whole will be able to reap the benefits. We are working hand-in-hand with the academic community to gather as much accurate data as possible to ensure the reliability of our results, as well as to stregthen our relationship with those whom we serve. If you have any interest in the project please contact our office, we would love to chat about it! Here is our most current version of the Landscape Inventory Map. Pictures and updates to follow as the project progresses.
