April 8, 2009 - Dramafest Announcment
Kumusta sa lahat!!
Okay, now 3 weeks until Dramafest! Hope you all are doing well with your practices :) And speaking of practices, if you want to reserve rooms for rehearsals you can do so through your professor or email me. :] Please, no rehearsals in the auditorium without consent!
Here are just some announcements regarding groups, order of performances and judging.
* Some of the groups have yet to turn in their Group information (Group name, Synopsis and Cast of Members). Please turn that in to your teachers by this week so the information can be forwarded to the program committee.
* Below is the Order of Performances picked from the last meeting and salamat to those who were there :]

DRAMAFEST GUIDELINES & JUDGING CRITERIA
A. DRAMAFEST GUIDELINES
1. Drama presentation should be only 12 minutes including set-up and
taking down props and clearing/cleaning of stage. Please note that FIVE
points will be deducted per minute of overtime.
2. Script should be based on a Tagalog movie from the 1980s to
present. [NOTE: Movie from which the drama will be based on should have
been approved by teacher.]
3. Use minimal props.
4. Use of powerpoint/computer-generated production as backdrop is NOT
allowed.
5. Use minimal narration. Focus more on the dialogues.
6. Each member of the group should have some speaking lines.
7. Individual groups are responsible for cleaning up after their
presentation.
B. DRAMAFEST JUDGING CRITERIA (for invited judges)
DRAMATIC PLOT 30
(relevance to theme, storyline (beginning-middle-end), narrative)
ACTING 30
(pronunciation, emotional content, voice projection, presence on stage)
PRODUCTION DESIGN 20
(props, costumes, music, blocking)
OVERALL EFFECT 20
(audience impact)
