April 8, 2009 - 2009 Katipunan Banquet
Kumusta kayong lahat!
The Katipunan Club annual banquet is just around the corner and you are invited! Please come and celebrate the ending of the school year, to induct the upcoming Katipunan Officers, and most importantly to have fun.
It will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Hale Koa Hotel in the Banyan Tree Showroom.
This year's theme is BLACK AND WHITE AFFAIR.
The event will be from 6:30pm-11:30pm, dinner will be served at 7pm and the doors will open at 6pm.
The price of each ticket is,
$30 for Katipunan Members
$40 for Katipunan Alumni
$45 for Community and Guests
Aside from having a fun filled night with the club, there will be delicious food! The menu is as follows:
SALADS:
* Seasonal Greens with Watercress and Chicory
o French, Italian, Thousand Island, Blue Cheese, and Creamy Ranch Dressing
* Soy Bean Sprout, Broccoli and Seafood, Namasu, Spicy Chicken Macaroni and Potato, Green Papaya, Tofu, Limu and Oriental Vegetable Salads
* Lomilomi Salmon and Poi
* Sliced Tomatoes and Cucumbers
* Haupia and Rainbow Jello
COLD SELECTIONS:
* Sliced Tropical Fruit Platter
* Chilled Bay Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce and Thinly Sliced Tako with Miso Sauce
* Smoke Mahimahi with whipped horse radish sauce
* Fresh Vegetable with Creamy Dip
* Selection of Imported and Domestic Cheeses
HOT ENTREE SELECTIONS:
* Roast Baron of Beef
* Steamed Crab Legs with Lemon Butter
* Ginger Chicken
* Pan-Fried Mahimahi with Bay Shrimp and Lemon Caper Butter
* Kalua Pig and Cabbage
* Fried Noodles
* Steamed Rice
* Baked Sweet Potatoes with Toasted Coconut
* Assortment of Dinner Rolls
DESSERTS:
* A selection of tarts, cakes, pies, french pastries, cremes and mousses
Everyone can start to RSVP with your teachers starting next week (April 13, 2009) or through email (kmaboy@hawaii.edu). You can start to RSVP through email starting today. :) Please RSVP by Friday, April 24, 2009. Payments will be due on or before Friday, May 1, 2009. Details on where to turn in money will be emailed later this week.
