Important REminder: Youth Track Session

Maraming salamat in signing up for the Youth Track Workshop of our first-ever Filipino Global Language International Conference on Wed., March 19, 1:30-5:00 at the UH Campus Center [Awarding of Certificates of Participation at 5:00; Merienda/Presentation at 6:00].
As of yesterday, we have more than 50 participants who have signed up for this youth event.

While most of you marked your workshop preference, you might not get your first choice as the sessions were on a first-come, first-served basis. ALSO, If you did not turn in a registration form, please fill out the attached form and bring it to the conference.

According to Tita Ruth, our Filipino program coordinator/conference organizer, you are most welcome to attend the morning sessions as well on March 19. You will also receive FREE bento lunch which will be distributed around 12:45-1:30. After the workshop, you are invited to join us in the closing ceremonies at 5:00 with presentation and merienda.

On the day of the conference, please check with the registration table first to get your conference packet and name tag before proceeding to your sessions.

Important REminder: HNL Festival Parade Participants

Kumusta? Maraming salamat to the following who are joining our Katipunan Club in the HNL Festival Parade on Sunday, March 16, 4:00-6:30 pm at Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki. The parade starts at Fort deRussy and will end at Kapiolani Park.

Our Katipunan dancers will be performing Tinikling during the parade while we will be waving mini-Philippine flag courtesy of the Philippine Consulate.

Because of parking situation and street closure, we hired a school bus that will take us from UH and bring us back to UH after the parade.

Pick-up time from UH at Sinclair Circle: 2:30 [please be there on time, if you miss the bus, you need to find a ride to go to Fort deRussy -- the start of the parade!] Pick-up at Kapiolani Park and Drop-off back to UH: 6:30

For marchers, PLEASE WEAR YOUR KATIPUNAN T-SHIRT! We still have some left in the office for purchase at $10 -- If you don't have a Katipunan T-shirt, just wear plain white or a UH white Shirt.

At the end of the parade, Philippine Consulate will be handing out our merienda.
