Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies

Every summer, APAICS invites a group of exceptional college students from across the nation to experience working in Congress and federal agencies. In addition, the interns attend briefings with members of Congress, networking events with other interns from other national Asian Pacific Islander American organizations, and also participate in joint activities with the Congressional Black and Hispanic Caucus Institutes. Internship Details:
Each year, the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) invites students to apply for its Summer Internship Program in Washington, D.C. Interns are placed in Congressional offices, federal agencies, and non-profit organizations to obtain first hand learning experience in American politics. Through a series of seminars, they learn about national Asian Pacific Islander American advocacy organizations and network with peers from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF). The internship will start in June'08 and last for 6 weeks.

Auditions for Paid Acting Positions

Looking for Guys and Girls who can portray high school students. You don't have to be in high school, just need to look like a high school student. This is for a play on Teen Pregnancy and STD Prevention that tours the schools. You need to be available for rehearsals and shows on Sunday nights (6pm to 9pm), and Monday and Friday days before 1:30pm (or at least be able to do some Mondays and Fridays).

This job pays $9 an hour for rehearsals and $60 for each show.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
