The CJS community came together on the morning of Friday, September 20, 2025, to participate in the semi-annual cleanup of the Ehime Maru Memorial in Kaka’ako Waterfront Park.

Mr. Ken Saiki, Director of the Ehime Maru Memorial Association, shared important background on the Memorial. Director Levin welcomed the CJS faculty, Japanese language instructors, former EPIC interns, Japanese studies students and CJS family members and community members. The volunteers worked hard to tidy the grounds and tend to the Mikan trees.
