The Consulate-General of Japan in Honolulu awarded the 2024 Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship, the prestigious scholarship from the Japanese government, on August 15, 2024.
Only four students from the United States were selected this year by the Japanese embassy and consulates for this prestigious scholarship, and two of the students are the Japanese majors students from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
