Summer Exchange Programs
Applications for Summer Exchange Programs must be sent to the host university by the UHM International Exchange Coordinator. Please do not send applications directly to the host university. See Darrell Kicker (kicker@hawaii.edu) in Physical Science Building 205 for more information.
Hong Kong
- Chinese University of Hong Kong International Summer School - Six-week program in Hong Kong (late June-early August). Participants may earn six or nine credits.
Japan
- Hiroshima and Peace - Two-week program at Hiroshima City University in Japan (late July-early August). Participants enroll in PACE 485 and earn three credits.
- Kanazawa Institute of Technology IJST (Intensive Japanese for Science and Technology) program - Six-week program in Kanazawa, Japan (late May-mid July).
- Japanese Language and Japan Studies Program (JLSP) Nihon University - 10-week program in Tokyo, Japan (mid May-late July)
- Summer APU Gateway Program, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University - Eight-week program in Beppu, Japan (June and July)
Korea
- Chung-Ang University International Summer School - Three-week program in Seoul, Korea (late June-mid July). Participants may earn three credits.
- Ewha Womans University International Co-Ed Summer School - Six-week program in Seoul, Korea (late June-early August).
- Korea University International Summer Campus - Six-week program in Seoul, Korea (late June-early August).
- Kyungpook National University English Summer Session - Four-week program in Daegu, Korea (late June-July). Participants earn six credits.
- Seoul National University International Summer Institute (SNU ISI) - Six-week program in Seoul, Korea (late June-early August). Participants may earn six or nine credits.
- University of Seoul International Summer School – Five-week program in Seoul, Korea (July-early August). Participants earn six credits. Free housing, free field trips and partial reimbursement of airfare for UHM exchange students.
- Sogang University Summer School for Korean Studies - Six-week program in Seoul, Korea (late June-early August).
- SKKU International Summer Semester - Three-week program at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, Korea (late June-mid July) . See also brochure.
- Yonsei University International Summer School - Six-week program in Seoul, Korea (late June-early August). Participants may earn six or nine credits.
Denmark
- Copenhagen Business School Summer University - Six-week program in Denmark. Participants earn six credits. For Business majors only. See Rikki Mitsunaga (BusAd B-101) for more information.
France/China
- Reims Management School - Two-week sessions in France or Beijing, China. Participants earn three credits per session in France or in Beijing. For Business majors only. See Rikki Mitsunaga (BusAd B-101) for more information.

- WHU Summer Course - Three-week program in Germany. Participants choose one of two sessions and may earn four credits. For Business majors only. See Rikki Mitsunaga (BusAd B-101) for more information.
