The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa partners with research and educational institutions all over the world, which provide networking and exchange opportunities for students, faculty and scholars. Currently, UHM partners internationally with over 100 overseas institutions, including 62 student exchange agreements.
Various academic units on the UHM campus, with the assistance of Manoa International Exchange staff, maintain and support international agreements with universities all around the world. A student exchange agreement with an overseas university can be proposed to MIX by faculty from any of the academic units on the UHM campus. Student exchange agreements are always based on reciprocity, and there must be demonstrated interest that UHM students want to go abroad to each new partner university, and that these students will benefit from the exchange.
