Fall 2018

Study Abroad with Prof. Jolly – Fall 2018!

Come explore the medieval world with Professor Karen Jolly on the London Fall 2018 Study Abroad program!

In addition to taking classes for UH credit at the host Roehampton University, you can fulfill History and focus credits with Prof. Jolly’s courses:

  • HIST 335 on early medieval Europe: We will examine manuscripts and artifacts at a special exhibit in the British Library and at the British Museum. We will also take field trips into the countryside.  The class is WI and counts in the Europe category for the major.  HIST 335 syllabus
  • HIST 433 on medieval cultures: we will examine pre-modern world history through the eyes of the British Museum.  For the Oral Communications requirement, students will explain artifacts and narrate rooms in the museum.  This course counts in either the Europe or the World category for the major.  HIST 433 syllabus
