In a new study from the Early Education Initiative at the New America Foundation, author Laura A. Bornfreund discusses the issues of utilizing various student achievement methods in teacher evaluation systems nationwide. Bornfreund looks at three approaches used, including student learner objectives, shared assessments, and shared attributes; ultimately determining that quality of instruction and learning in these early years is very important, despite the challenges with using different evaluation methods.
