Welcome to First Year Programs!
It is with great aloha that we welcome you to the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. We hope your college experience will be rewarding, challenging, and productive. We believe we can assist with your transition from high school to college by offering you an opportunity to meet students from all over the world while taking the classes that help you learn about your future major and potential career path. All of this is offered through our ACE Learning Communities and Freshman Seminars.
This website provides information about ACE and Freshman Seminars, as well as other applicable information for first-year students. There is truly no place else like the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. We look forward to having you be part of our ‘ohana, our family.
Sincerely,
Ronald E. Cambra
Assistant Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education
