The University of Hawaii at Manoa announces the "Festival of Undergraduate Research and Creative Projects."

The Festival is a showcase and celebration of research and creative work done by undergraduates at UHM. The strategic plan for the Manoa Campus, Defining Our Destiny (2002), calls for all undergraduates to be involved in research and creative scholarship. The Festival demonstrates the various ways this goal is being met by gathering together a number of events sponsored in the spring semester by academic units at Manoa that highlight the excellent work done by undergraduates.
