Tracking Your Federal Aid

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the national database of information about loans and grants awarded to students. NSLDS provides a centralized, integrated view of federal student aid loans and grants that are tracked through their entire lifecycle from aid approval through disbursement and repayment.

All federal student loans obtained by a student and/or parent are reported to and tracked on the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). NSLDS loan records are accessible to all authorized NSLDS users, including schools, student loan guaranty agencies, lenders, federal agencies, and other authorized users. Alternative and private education loan information is not reported to NSLDS. Student and parent loan borrowers may view their federal loan information on studentaid.gov. Borrowers access the system logging in using their StudentAid.gov Account. Students can also access prior federal grant information on studentaid.gov.
