UH Mānoa has established an Emergency Management Committee which meets regularly to review the Emergency Management Program and to provide Kathy Cutshaw, the Vice Chancellor of Administration Finance and Operations with input and recommendations on the UH Mānoa Emergency Management Program.

Tom Schroeder has been selected as the Committee Chair and Bruce Liebert, Committee Vice-Chair. Jimmy Lagunero has been assigned as the Acting Emergency Management Coordinator for the UH Mānoa Emergency Management Program. He can be reached at (808) 956-0773 or at .

New Guidelines provided.
  • New UHM Guideline on Emergency Communications Policy and Procedure can be found in the link on Emergency Information. Every School, College, Department and Office needs an emergency communication policy/plan to notify their personnel in the event of an emergency or disaster. Please assure that your School, College, Department or Office has one.
  • New link on Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) has been added. Find out what COOP is and why every school, college, department and office should have a COOP Plan. We have also just included a new UHM Guideline on Continuity of Operations Planning in the link on Emergency Information.

Emergency Management Program
  Prepare Organize, educate, train, exercise and inform the UHM community on all types of emergencies (Hazards and Disasters).
  Respond Establish, train, equip, exercise and improve responder and emergency management teams to effectively respond to all emergencies.
  Manage Coordinate, establish, train and improve emergency plans and procedures for the effective management of personnel, funds, material, equipment and medical care.
