A Garden of Gold: Robes of East Asia

The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences offers an exhibit of robes from East Asia with a focus on surface design using floral motifs rendered in varied techniques including the use of gold thread, gold leaf, or gold paint. You can see this exhibit from April 1-19 in Miller Hall Costume Gallery (Room 112), between 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and noon-4:00 p.m., Sunday. This exhibit is a collaborative effort of two classes, APDM416 (Cultures and Costumes of East Asia) and APDM491 (Costume Exhibition and Museum Management).
