Your family has made great sacrifices for our country. Not only do military personal serve our country but the dependents of our military often make sacrifies as well.
Hawaii 4-H is offering a free camp for the dependent youth of Wounded Warriors. This camp will be an opportunity to take respite and relax. An opportunity to get out of everyday life and enjoy nature and outdoor adventure.
We invite you to come to the beautiful setting of YMCA Camp Erdman located on the North Shore of Oahu to participate in swimming, campfires, high ropes courses, ocean studies, games, friends, laughs, exploring, beach time, hikes, and Hawaiian traditions.
Not only will this be an exciting and fun camp but youth will build connections to other youth in similar situations as themselves. They will build friendships, learn resiliency skills, be challenged to step outside comfort zones and learn about Hawaiian culture.
Image yourself waking up to the sounds of the ocean, taking an environmental hike with new friends, climbing a high ropes course, making a traditional Hawaiian snack to fuel our adventures, swimming, playing an evening camp game and then relaxing by the campfire at night… That is just one example of a day you will enjoy at camp in beautiful Hawaii nei.
Youth will be staying in cabins with indoor plumbing and showers. Meals and snacks will be included. Youth will need to bring their own sleeping bag and bedding needs.
Limited number of spaces available to keep group small due to Covid-19 restrictions. Social distancing during activities will be enforced.
