Oahu 4-H Shooting Sports Program

Back to Oahu 4-H

Youth ages 9-18 will learn the safe, appropriate and responsible use of archery equipment while gaining marksmanship skills. The archery shooting sports program also helps young people learn life skills and builds self-worth.





Leader’s Training:

Level 1 Archery Leader’s Certification Training on

Thursday, June 9th               Via Zoom conference call meeting, Zoom link to be emailed
at 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm                Part 1:  General Session (youth development, risk management)

Friday, June 10th          
        Waimanalo Research Station, Oahu
8:00 am – 5:00 pm                     Part 2: Hands on instruction on the archery range

All instructors must teach at least once (over a series of sessions) every three (3) years and report teaching efforts to the State 4-H Shooting Sports Coordinator in order to remain certified.

Current Oahu 4-H Archery Club Session:

April-August 2022

  • 11:00 am-12:00 pm Beginner Session (currently as of April 2022, waiting list)
  • 12:30 pm-1:30 pm Experience Session

Expect new sessions to start recruitment in September 2022
