Hand Using Pen to Write the Word Scholarship

A new scholarship has been established through the Hawaii Community Foundation to honor the memory of Caron Ikeda, a long-time 4-H member and Teen 4-H Leader. The $1500 scholarship is available to a graduating senior who was active in the 4-H youth development program in Hawaii. The scholarship will be presented through the State 4-H Alumni Association. Please see the Scholarship Application for a biography of Caron Ikeda and the application itself. Deadline is April 1, 2024

2022 American AgCredit Scholarship The education scholarship from American AgCredit has been released for 2022. The form can be downloaded in a Word document or PDF document format. The Scholarship can be used at the school of the recipient’s choice, (i.e. college, university, or trade school) to begin or continue their education as an underclassman (graduate students are not eligible). Rose Saito was born and raised on Maui. She started working at the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) as an Extension Home Economist in 1974 and retired in 2014, after 40 years of service. During her tenure in Oahu County, she developed exceptional educational programs which focused on 4-H youth development. She expanded her 4-H program to integrate more senior citizens (retirees) as volunteers, as she believed retirees had a wealth of knowledge and a strong willingness to share their vast experiences.
