Activities for youth impacted by Maui wildfire

The volunteers, leaders, members, and faculty of the Maui County 4-H program greatly appreciate the extremely generous donations from the Creeks 4-H club. Youth members from the clubs voted to donate proceeds from their fundraising projects to support the youth displaced by the wildfire disasters on Maui in August 2023. New 4-H Scholarship

Hand Using Pen to Write the Word Scholarship

A new scholarship has been established through the Hawaii Community Foundation to honor the memory of Caron Ikeda, a long-time 4-H member and Teen 4-H Leader. The $1500 scholarship is available to a graduating senior who was active in the 4-H youth development program in Hawaii. The scholarship will be presented through the State 4-H Alumni Association. Fishing in oama tournament

Sara Stupplebeen, Reporter – So far, the 4-H Wolves have participated in four activities. First on October 5th, we took part in an oama fishing tournament and had so much fun at Kanaha Beach. Second we held our first meeting and also had a guest speaker, Skylar Decker, who talked to us about fishing and a craft called Gyotaku, which is printing images of fish with ink which we later did.
